Bio

I began my studies in Fine Art at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI In my second year I abandoned my studies in visual Art to pursue dance. While in school I performed with the Wayne State University Dance Company, Nonce Dance Ensemble, and The Detroit Dance Collective. I also had the great opportunity to perform in Aretha Franklin’s first music video, “Freeway of Love”. Just short of graduating I took a position with Harbinger Dance Company. After a year with Habinger I was encouraged to move to NYC to continue my dance career. There I performed with Risa Jaraslow & Dancers. After a knee injury I followed love to a vineyard in the foothills of Adelaide, South Australia.  Upon returning to the states, I lived in Seattle, WA, which led to work on a fishing boat in the Bering Sea. After a year and a half I returned to NYC, where I ran a successful restaurant in the West Village, dabbled a bit into visual merchandising and prop styling, and took my first painting classes at Parsons School of Design. In 2012 I returned to Detroit and reconnected with my studies in visual Art at Wayne State University, where I studied photography and painting. Since 2013 I have been creating and showing my paintings and photographs. I have shown my work in galleries throughout the U.S. I have shown my work internationally through on-line exhibits. I am currently a finalist in the URBAN Photo Awards, and my work has been published in “Urban Unveils the City and its Secrets Volume 11.” This is a portfolio of my work. Thanks for checking it out.
